Great to meet you!

Hello there — my name is Paisley, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate this thing called life. Whatever brought you here — anxiety, depression, grief, a relationship that's struggling, or a season that's knocked you sideways — I'd be glad to walk it with you. My own life has given me a great deal to draw from: I've been single, married, widowed, and divorced, and I've raised three amazing children (plus two dogs I love like children). I've lived long enough to have gained some wisdom, and I'm smart enough to know I don't know everything — I love to learn and I'm always adding new tools to my practice. I also hold the Supervisor credential for the LCSW and provide supervision to therapists working toward it. I would be honored to walk this road called life with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic, which means I draw on life experience and on some of the "greats" and apply what actually fits each individual client rather than running everyone through the same method. With couples and families I lean on the Gottman Method, solution-focused couples work, and family systems approaches to help you understand the patterns you're caught in and build healthier ways of relating. With individuals I draw on psychodynamic and interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, and a strengths-based lens — because you likely have more going for you than you give yourself credit for. We'll go at your pace and focus on what you most want to change.

What you can expect from me

I like to spend our first session getting to know you and setting some goals for our time together — deciding on a destination we're working toward. We'll talk about what brought you in and what you'd like to look and feel different once our work is done. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before you arrive; that's part of what we'll do together. Mostly, I want you to leave that first conversation feeling genuinely heard and hopeful about where we're headed.
