Her prior work has been in non-profit organizations throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn where she developed a strong commitment to survivors of violence. She follows an anti-oppressive framework and applies a strength-based and client-centered approach to her work with survivors of sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Pamela has extensive experience providing crisis support and on-going counseling to patients who identify as LGBTQIA or HIV-affected and have been impacted by violence and/or struggle with depression, anxiety or PTSD. In practice, she uses a combination of modalities including Trauma Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness.

What you can expect from our first session

She knows it is imperative to feel secure and connected and strives to create a safe environment for her patients. Pamela, “understands the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance” and believes that “together we can bring about positive change.”
