Great to meet you!

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I specialize in integrating the Christian faith with proven counseling methods and will take time to understand your story and your preferences for counseling. I specialize in working with adults who are experiencing or may have experienced relational trauma, betrayal, acute stress including physical symptoms of stress, depression, and anxiety. We will work together to build emotional and relational safety and stabilization before moving in to deeper work of understanding your life's journey and empowering your choices moving forward. If you are experiencing marital distress, relational or family discord, life changes, or interpersonal anxiety or depression, I would be honored to walk alongside you to carry your burden and speak hope in hurting spaces. With you. For you. 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline".

My approach to therapy

I seek to understand your story and hold space for your joys and your struggles. Our first few sessions will be gathering all of the pieces of your story so we can determine, together, the best way to move forward to help you achieve your goals. I utilize a strengths-based perspective, believing that even when we feel weak, we have indwelt strength and ability to move through difficulties, find our voice, and step closer to our best self.

What you can expect from me

You will be welcomed with warmth and genuine care, integrity and honesty, and the freedom to share what you want to share in a safe space for you. There may be more questions to clarify your story in the first session or two. Then we will discuss your treatment goals, decide on steps to help you achieve your goals and discuss the interventions that may work best for you. You are a full partner in the development of your treatment plan, and you will drive the change you want to see.

Depending on your area of need, there may be homework and things to practice or complete in between sessions. It is recommended that you bring a journal and/or notebook to sessions.
