Great to meet you!

Hi folks! I am a national expert on child abuse/neglect, childhood trauma, family violence, and severe stress. My paper on severe child abuse has been downloaded in 83 countries on all 6 continents. I speak to international audiences on how to treat complex trauma and developmental trauma using innovative techniques. These include play-based treatment (CCPT, ABPT, Theraplay), sensory and experiential treatment (water, sand, nature), expressive treatments like art, music, animal, and yoga therapy, client-centered treatment, and most importantly relationship-based treatment, where healing occurs in the context of a safe, healthy relationship to another person, including the therapist.

I also provides support for girls and women during pregnancy and post-partum. I am passionate about girls’ and women’s issues.
