Great to meet you!

I have more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health, including extensive experience in addiction treatment and trauma recovery. This work taught me to look beyond symptoms and understand the experiences, relationships, adaptations, and protective parts beneath them.

I welcome clients of diverse identities, backgrounds, beliefs, and orientations. Spirituality can have a meaningful place in therapy for those who desire it, but it is never assumed or imposed.

Outside of my work, I enjoy yoga, martial arts, nature, art, music, playing guitar, and spending time with my dog.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is warm, interactive, honest, and collaborative. I work with adults and adolescents navigating trauma, grief, ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship and family patterns, life transitions, codependency, identity, and spirituality. Many of my clients are insightful and capable but find that understanding their patterns intellectually has not been enough to change how they feel, relate, or respond.

My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each person. Depending on your needs, our work may incorporate EMDR, parts-oriented work, CBT, motivational interviewing, attachment and relational approaches, supportive therapy, mindfulness, and somatic practices. I am also trained in yoga and have experience with meditation, breathwork, tai chi, and qi gong. These practices can be incorporated when they feel helpful and aligned with your interests.

I believe healing occurs within a relationship where you feel emotionally safe, genuinely understood, and able to be honest. I listen with compassion while also offering direct feedback, thoughtful reflection, encouragement, humor, and accountability. Sessions with me tend to be conversational and personable, while remaining purposeful and connected to the goals that matter to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building trust. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to change, and what has or hasn’t been helpful in the past. You won’t be expected to share anything before you feel ready. I’ll answer your questions, offer initial reflections when helpful, and work with you to identify a direction for therapy. You can expect our conversation to be warm, interactive, and personable, with space for both seriousness and humor.
