Great to meet you!

Pamela has a Master's Degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Family Studies, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Valdosta State University. She received post-masters training at "The Link" Marriage and Family Training Institute.

My approach to therapy

I focus on creating a therapeutic environment of warmth, safety and validation. Assisting the client in challenging unhelpful thinking patterns and replace with more accurate and affirming themes and scripts that are in alignment with one's values.

I like to bring my full personality into the therapy sessions which sets the tone for relaxation, connection and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

Clients will leave my sessions feeling an increased curiosity about themselves, specifically their thought and behavioral patterns. I find it beneficial to take a family systems approach to therapy, as it often uncovers intergenerations patterns, dynamics and behaviors that may interfere with emotional growth and may be harmful to the client. Additionally, I strive to impart a sense of hope and resilience that may have previously been absent.
