Great to meet you!

Are you feeling overwhelmed with life? Anxiety – Stress – Worry? Not wanting to face the day?

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have over 10 years working with a variety of people seeking help for anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, grief, and life changes. A little bit about my style – I am laid back, and create a non-judgmental environment, that is safe, and supportive. My approach is a mosaic of techniques to help people to focus on their strengths, developing skills to manage life challenges and get unstuck.

Relocation, career change, relationship struggles, childhood experiences, trauma, codependency, grief and loss, and addiction are sometimes slow to develop or occur unexpectedly. My style utilizes evidenced based techniques, creativity, mindfulness, and media to spark discussion.

“So grateful I found her. Pamela is extremely supportive, especially when I am having hard days. She is very encouraging and has been instrumental in helping me to manage my anxiety.” V.I. 4/27/2022

My approach to therapy

As a seasoned professional, my strengths are actively listening, offering compassion, teaching skills, and challenging clients for action. With a handful of self calming techniques you can start to face the challenges from a point of strength. I am able to utilized Dialectical Behavior therapy, EMDR, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness.

We face many transitions in our lives. I have helped clients who are relocating, facing career stressors, having onset of chronic pain or illness or experiencing grief and loss. I am an expert Addiction Counselor and also support family member as they struggle. They move beyond the challenges to find hope and take the steps towards productive change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will focus on developing a connection. My goal in the first session is to have the client leave with feelings of hope that they will be able to manage their struggle. We will explore what brings you to therapy and how this experience can help you. This will include some history, taking, relationship building, and goal setting.
