Great to meet you!

I have been in this field of social work for 30 years and I have served people like you in a variety of roles ranging from adoptions to my current roles as a social work professor and a mental health counselor. I love old music, classic movies, and my two rescue pups! Stress relievers for me are baking, antiquing, and spending time with family and friends. I am a history buff, a classic Disney nerd, and I love Fall, football, and good food!

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Counseling Concentration from Liberty University, a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University, and a Doctor of Social Work from Tulane University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, Alabama, Ohio, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and am able to provide telehealth counseling in each of those states, as well as in person counseling services here in Central Florida.

I have had a lot of people walk alongside me at various times throughout my personal journey and it would be my honor for you to allow me to walk alongside you for part of yours. I look forward to talking with you soon.

My approach to therapy

By creating a space for you to feel safe, valued, and empowered, my goal is to help you navigate whatever life circumstances you find yourself facing. I am practical in my approach of counseling and use a variety of methods to come alongside you as you walk your path. Building upon your existing strengths, you will gain new skills for coping, growing, healing, and moving forward on your journey.

If you find yourself facing marital infidelity, relationship struggles, infertility and the depression, grief or anxiety that can come with these trials or if you are experiencing other circumstances that are keeping you from living a full life, then we should talk. I have the skills and experience to help you move forward in a positive manner. And, if you are open to seeing what Scripture has to say about what you are facing and who God says you are to Him, I would be honored to explore that with you also.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, as in all sessions, we are going to engage in conversation. I want to hear your story because your voice matters. We will begin developing goals and a plan to move forward in a positive manner that will empower you to take the next steps on your journey. I want you to know that there is hope.
