Great to meet you!

Pamela is a certified sex therapist and Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Sexology at The Modern Sex Therapy Institutes. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Arts in Film Theory from Washington University in St. Louis.

My approach to therapy

Pamela believes the best way for a person to explore complicated feelings is in a safe space, free from judgment. She has experience helping older teens, adults, families, and couples work through issues such as anxiety, depression, intimacy problems, lifespan transitions, sexual dysfunctions, relationship conflicts, and gender/sexual identity exploration. She is a certified sex therapist who is LGBT+ affirming and sex worker positive and emphasizes cultural inclusivity in her practice.

What you can expect from me

Pamela’s focus is on helping clients improve their self-esteem and self-efficacy by overcoming the negative self-talk that can lead to feelings of frustration and low self-worth. Her style balances warmth and empathy with an active and direct approach, using humor and creativity to engage her clients in strength-based, collaborative interventions. Her method is eclectic, drawing mainly from REBT, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy.
