Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a diverse background in social work, child welfare, case management, and community advocacy. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families, helping them navigate a wide range of life challenges, including depression, emotional difficulties, family concerns, and complex social situations.

My experience includes working with Child and Family Services (DCFS) and serving as a medical case manager, where I assisted individuals in accessing community resources, coordinating care, and overcoming barriers to support and treatment. I am passionate about empowering individuals and communities by providing compassionate, strengths-based, and solution-focused services.

I utilize affirming, client-centered, and motivational interviewing approaches to help people identify their strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. In addition to my professional work, I actively volunteer within my community and am dedicated to supporting, educating, and empowering those around me. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and am committed to helping people achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel valued, heard, and validated. I believe that every individual has unique strengths and experiences, and I tailor the therapeutic process to meet each person's specific needs, goals, and circumstances.

I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness-based practices. These approaches help clients develop greater self-awareness, understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, strengthen relationships, and build effective coping skills for life's challenges.

My goal is to empower clients to identify their own solutions, gain insight into their experiences, and create meaningful and lasting change from their own perspective. I work alongside clients to foster resilience, personal growth, and emotional well-being while honoring their values, strengths, and individual journey.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can begin sharing their story at a pace that feels comfortable for them. Building trust and creating a safe space are important priorities, as I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

During this session, I will gather information about the client's background, current concerns, strengths, and goals for therapy. We will discuss what has brought them to counseling, explore any challenges they may be experiencing, and identify areas where they would like support and growth. I also encourage clients to ask questions about the therapy process so they can feel informed and confident moving forward.

Together, we will begin developing a personalized plan that reflects their unique needs, values, and goals. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning that clients are active participants in their treatment. Whether they are seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, trauma, or personal growth, I strive to create a safe space where they feel empowered to explore challenges, build on their strengths, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.
