Great to meet you!

Dr. Ricardo is a bilingual licensed clinical psychologist who migrated to the U.S. in her teenage years, an experience which sensitized her to the difficulties of navigating life changes, challenges, and transitions. Her work aims to help her clients to clarify their values, live more authentic lives, and gain clarity around how to reach their goals and foster overall wellbeing.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Ricardo empowers adults to navigate chronic stress and life transitions and helps them find ways to support their overall health and wellbeing. She uses mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapeutic practices and draws from mind-body approaches to help clients find what works for them. Her work is informed by 15 years of experience in the mental health field, her work as a yoga teacher and breath coach, and through her tenure as a doctoral level professor in cultural diversity.

What you can expect from me

Dr. Ricardo offers a 15-minute complimentary phone consultation where you can share your goals for therapy and learn about her approach. If her approach feels right to you, the consultation is followed by scheduling a 60-minute session where you’ll discuss the factors that impact your wellbeing, reflect on your strengths, and set therapy goals.

Challenges, setbacks, and distress around growth are a part of life. Are you ready to have clarity and feel empowered to live a life you value?
