Great to meet you!
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, specializing in mental health. I have experience providing individual, family, and group therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds who are navigating life’s challenges.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused therapy, Yoga Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Experiencing (SE). I also incorporate psychoeducation and mindfulness into my work and currently teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction at a community hospital. I believe these tools can help clients build greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and resilience. My professional career has focused on mental health assessment and treatment, community mental health services, cultural competency, mindfulness, and substance use treatment. In addition to direct clinical practice, I serve as a lecturer in higher education, contributing to the training and development of future human service professionals.
