Great to meet you!
I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as your full self without judgment, pressure, or feeling like you have to have everything figured out. My style is warm, down-to-earth, supportive, and direct when needed. I’m not the therapist who will simply nod and ask, “How does that make you feel?” for the entire session. We’ll talk honestly about what’s happening, explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work together to identify realistic ways to move forward.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have experience working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation, family challenges, and behavioral concerns. I also have extensive experience working with individuals and families involved in complex systems, which has taught me the importance of understanding the whole person not just a diagnosis or a difficult chapter in their life.
My approach is collaborative and individualized. I incorporate strategies from DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused approaches, and other evidence-based practices while recognizing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Some sessions may involve challenging unhealthy thought patterns, some may focus on developing practical coping skills, and others may simply require a safe place to process something difficult.
Most importantly, you can expect me to be genuine with you. I value humor, authenticity, accountability, compassion, and a strong therapeutic relationship. I’ll meet you where you are while also helping you work toward where you want to be. You don’t have to come to therapy knowing exactly what you need you just have to be willing to start.
Lastly, I have provide supervision for LPC-R, QMHP-A, QMHP-C, CSAC and PRS.
