Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome — I’m Dr. Parisa Waisi, a licensed psychologist dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. I offer therapy in both English and Farsi and specialize in working with adults, teens, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in both science and compassion. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, and have worked in diverse settings including community mental health, intensive outpatient care, and private coaching.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm presence, deep listening, and ability to integrate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and evidence-based practices into our work. Whether you’re dealing with deep emotional pain or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you. If you’re looking for a therapist who honors your full story and helps you create lasting change, I’d be honored to work with you.

My approach to therapy

The foundation of my approach is built upon evidence-based practices like mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and trauma-informed care, which enables me to provide personalized solutions that consider both the logical and emotional dimensions of your experiences. My coaching philosophy is rooted in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a holistic understanding of each individual’s unique journey. Through my experiences, I’ve worked with individuals confronting various emotional, relational, and mental health issues, deepening my understanding of the diverse experiences that shape our lives.I truly believe in the power of personal growth, and it’s a privilege to support you on your journey toward a more fulfilling and empowered life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling seen, supported, and empowered with practical tools for change. My approach blends deep emotional insight with evidence-based techniques to help you better understand yourself, reduce emotional distress, and build healthier relationships. Whether we’re working through trauma, anxiety, or life transitions, each session is tailored to meet you where you are — with compassion, curiosity, and a focus on your strengths.
