Parker Sistrunk

I'm Parker, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) based in Ohio with a background in community-based family therapy. I take a practical, down-to-earth approach to therapy, and I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, substance use, and the kind of pressure that builds quietly until it doesn't. Men's mental health is a particular focus of mine, and I work with adolescents and adults. All my sessions are via secure telehealth, which means I can see clients anywhere in Ohio.

My approach is direct and evidence-based, rooted in CBT and strength-based principles, laid-back but purposeful. I'm not going to sit across from you and just reflect your feelings back. I'm going to help you understand what's actually happening, why, and what you can realistically do about it. Expect honesty, some humor, and zero condescension. I'm trauma-informed and collaborative, and I care about progress that holds up outside the session, not just insight that stays in the room.

I keep it simple: no lengthy intake questionnaires, no pressure to overshare on day one. Tell me what's been going on, what you've already tried, and what you actually want to get out of therapy. I'll share how I work and what a realistic path forward might look like for you. By the end, you'll know whether we're a good fit, and if we are, you'll leave with a clear sense of direction, not just a follow-up appointment.
