Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of specialized experience and decades working in mental health. I work with individuals across the life span, from age 6 to older adulthood, and specialize in diagnosis, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, PTSD and trauma, and tailored medication management.

In 2020, I launched VirtualPsychiatricCare.com, and we're now proudly serving patients in over 30 states. I earned my BSN in 2008 and my Master's Degree in 2013, and I've spent my career helping people find relief from mental health struggles through compassionate, holistic care.

As a survivor of Complex PTSD myself, I have a special understanding and passion about helping others heal with patience and grace. I know what it's like to carry trauma, to feel stuck in cycles of anxiety or depression, and to wonder if things can really get better. That lived experience shapes the way I show up for my clients every day. I believe in the holistic approach and caring for the whole person, whether we're meeting in person or through virtual visits.

My approach to therapy

I have extensive experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing medications for all mental health issues including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, PTSD, and trauma. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered. Through video conference, I'll conduct a thorough psychiatric interview and ask questions about your symptoms, your mental health history, and your medical background.

Together, we'll create a treatment plan based on my clinical assessment and your preferences. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I tailor medication management to fit your unique needs, your goals, and what feels right for your body and your life. I take the time to listen, to understand the whole picture, and to work with you as a partner in your healing journey.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you in, what symptoms you've been experiencing, and what you're hoping will change. We'll talk about your mental health history, any medications you've tried in the past, and your overall health and wellness.

My goal is to conduct a thorough assessment so we can build a treatment plan that makes sense for you. You can expect me to be warm, patient, and genuinely invested in your healing. I want you to leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path forward.
