Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Patrice Dumas Veraguth, and I am a board‐certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I work with adults and am passionate about providing thoughtful, evidence‐based mental health care that is collaborative, respectful, and individualized.

My treatment style is patient‐centered and collaborative. I believe that effective mental health care starts with listening, education, and shared decision‐making. When appropriate, I incorporate medication management alongside psychoeducation, practical coping strategies, and coordination with therapy or other supports. My goal is always to help clients feel informed, empowered, and supported in their care.

I strive to create a safe, non‐judgmental, and welcoming space where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and goals. Whether you are seeking help for focus and attention issues, mood changes, anxiety, or clarity around a diagnosis, I am committed to working with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your life and values.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, thoughtful, and evidence‐based. I believe that effective mental health treatment starts with truly listening and taking the time to understand each person’s unique history, concerns, and goals. No two clients are the same, and I tailor treatment plans to fit the individual rather than using a one‐size‐fits‐all approach.

I work closely with clients to provide clear explanations, education, and shared decision‐making. I want you to understand your diagnosis, treatment options, and what to expect, so you can feel confident and empowered in your care. I value open communication and encourage questions and ongoing feedback throughout the treatment process.

My clinical focus includes the evaluation and treatment of adult ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood‐related concerns. I have a particular interest in accurate diagnosis, especially for adults who may have been overlooked or misdiagnosed in the past. When appropriate, I provide comprehensive ADHD assessments and use a structured, evidence‐based process to guide diagnosis and treatment.

Medication management, when indicated, is always approached carefully and responsibly. I emphasize safety, effectiveness, and regular follow‐up, and I often integrate psychoeducation, practical strategies, and coordination with therapy or other supports to promote long‐term success.

Above all, I strive to create a supportive, non‐judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and goals. My goal is to help you gain clarity, improve functioning, and move toward a better quality of life at a pace that feels right for you

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my primary goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you in. I strive to create a calm, supportive, and non‐judgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns at your own pace.

We will spend time reviewing your current symptoms, relevant history, and what you are hoping to gain from treatment. I ask thoughtful, structured questions to help clarify patterns, rule out contributing factors, and begin forming an accurate clinical picture. If ADHD, mood concerns, or anxiety are part of the focus, I take a thorough and evidence‐based approach to assessment rather than rushing to conclusions.

You can expect clear communication and education throughout the session. I explain my clinical impressions, discuss possible diagnoses when appropriate, and review treatment options in a way that is easy to understand. Shared decision‐making is central to my approach—you are an active partner in your care, not a passive participant
