Great to meet you!

Great to meet you.

My name is Patrice Moore, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years of experience working as a mental health therapist.

Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of individuals, including children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience supporting those who are dealing with trauma, crisis situations, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, family challenges, and severe, persistent mental health concerns.

This diverse background allows me to tailor my support to each person's unique needs, whether they are navigating complex family dynamics or working through significant mental health issues.

"Meeting you where you are" is my model as I can be flexible with sessions. This would be based on the clients preference as sessions can be offered in home.

My approach to therapy

I take a positive and holistic approach to therapy, focusing on helping individuals find balance in their lives. I believe that this process begins with improving self-esteem and practicing good self-care.

My therapeutic style is person-centered, which means you are in charge of your own journey. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and I am committed to ensuring that you always feel at ease during our sessions.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my primary focus will be on building rapport and creating a safe space where you feel comfortable sharing your story. I will begin by listening attentively, asking open-ended questions, and respecting your boundaries throughout our conversation. These actions are intended to foster trust and openness, ensuring you always feel at ease as we begin your journey together.

I want to ensure that you never feel uncomfortable or pressured to share more than you are ready to. My approach is rooted in trust and respect, allowing you to set the pace as we work together. Many clients share that after just one session, they feel as though they have had a meaningful conversation with a friend and notice personal growth from our discussion. I believe that therapy should feel this way—supportive, comfortable, and empowering.
