Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of healthcare experience and a passion for helping people improve their mental health and overall quality of life. In addition to my private practice on Headway, I work in an outpatient psychiatric setting providing psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy. I work extensively with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. Having neurodivergent loved ones has deepened my understanding of the unique strengths, challenges, and perspectives that come with ADHD and autism. It has also inspired me to focus much of my training and clinical practice on supporting neurodivergent individuals.

I have experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, including transgender and gender diverse clients, and strive to provide affirming, respectful care where every person feels seen and valued. I recognize that many of the struggles experienced by neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals stem not from who they are, but from the misunderstanding, stigma, and expectations they often encounter from others. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with the tools they need to thrive.

My approach to therapy

What you can expect from me is honesty, consistency, and a space where you don’t have to filter yourself. I’ll meet you where you are, not where you think you’re “supposed” to be.

I take time to really understand the full picture, not just symptoms, and we’ll work together to figure out what actually helps you feel better in a way that’s sustainable.

I tend to be thoughtful, direct when it matters, and very collaborative.

You can expect me to explain the “why” behind recommendations so you feel informed and in control of your care.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you in. We will discuss your symptoms, history, strengths, concerns, and treatment goals. I will take time to answer questions, provide education when helpful, and work with you to develop a plan that feels realistic and personalized. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer path forward.
