Great to meet you!

Hello! Thank you for taking a moment to explore my page. My name is Patricia Clark. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I provide therapy for women, couples, and high-functioning individuals. Many people seek therapy not because of one major event, but because they are worn down from years of quietly carrying stress. You may appear capable and composed on the outside while feeling anxious or disconnected inside. I help clients understand how cumulative micro-trauma impacts confidence, emotional regulation, relationships, and self-trust, so meaningful change can begin.

My approach to therapy

I offer individual therapy for those who have been functioning for a long time but feel worn down or disconnected, helping restore clarity and self-trust. Couples therapy supports partners navigating stress, disconnection, or trust issues. I also provide trauma-informed consulting and psychoeducation focused on chronic stress, micro-trauma, and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and evidence-driven, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-focused CBT, and mindfulness-based strategies. Therapy work employs the Developing Insight, Vision, and Authority (D.I.V.A.) framework, which helps clients understand emotional patterns, clarify their values, and rebuild confidence in their choices and boundaries.
