Great to meet you!

It takes real courage to decide you want something to change. Over 28 years, across military

installations, shelters, and community agencies, I have watched people discover capacities

for growth they did not know they had. I believe relationships are the engine of that change:

our brains and bodies are wired for connection, and healing happens in relationship. I create

a space of safety, respect, and authenticity, where you bring the expertise of your own life

and story, and I bring my clinical experience to support the process. I would be honored to

work alongside you.

My approach to therapy

After two decades in the business world, I returned to school to pursue counseling. Over the past 28 years, I’ve worked in a wide range of clinical settings: private and community agencies, military installations, shelters, and residential treatment programs for substance use. My current focus is on adults navigating trauma, substance use, and attachment-related challenges. I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Seeking Safety, and Attachment-Based approaches, all of which inform my current trauma-

focused work. I also draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and I meet each client with the approach that fits where they are.

What you can expect from me

As we begin to get to know each other during our first session, you will have the opportunity to share whatever matters to you in terms of desires and directions for your growth. Likely you will hear me say that, "You are welcome to share anything you want - and you are not required to share anything you wish to keep private." You may ask about my background and approaches. We may begin to consider choices for approaches in creating your desired outcomes.
