Great to meet you!

I have an extensive background working in the criminal justice system. I have a Master of Science in both Clinical Mental Health and Psychology (with a focus on forensic psychology). I specialize in working with individuals who are looking to reduce their violent/aggressive behaviors or outbursts to save their relationships, problematic sexual behavior as well as individuals looking to address their symptoms of depression and anxiety. I currently have a certification in trauma informed weight lifting and have been expanding my practice area to include how nutrition impacts our mental health and treating symptoms through exercises (somatic work). I also appreciate clients who are seeking therapy for a specific issue and support short-term therapeutic relationships as well, if that is something that an individual is looking for.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I like to infuse humor in my therapy. I ask questions to better understand a client and often encourage clients to be a little more curious about themselves and others! I like to provide psychoeducation on relevant topics to help normalize feelings, behaviors, etc.

What you can expect from our first session

I like to ask clients what they hope to accomplish and we work from there. I believe in taking small steps and working on a few goals at a time. I hope that clients feel both relaxed and motivated when working with me.
