Great to meet you!

Aloha and thank you for visiting my profile. Growing up in Hawaii, I was immersed in an inclusive array of ethnic and cultural practices, all including multi generational and traditional approaches to healing and wellness. My interest is to provide a space where individuals know that they are heard, feel validated, and understood. I have extensive experience working with individuals and families that have experienced trauma, oppression, as well as horizontal aggression. In all my work I honor family, culture, and community. I hope to help you and your family seek peace and find purpose to challenging times in your life.

I use strength based, empowerment, and culturally relevant approaches to my clinical interventions. Much of my work is based in psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavior models, solution focused practice, as well as mindfulness practice for stress and anxiety reduction.

I consider this work a sacred calling, and am honored to come alongside individuals in crisis with compassionate and experienced care. My goal is to empower my clients, and help them to find interpersonal balance and joy while living and working within unjust or inequitable systems. Joyfully living with pride, purpose, and peace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic. I consider your culture, worldview, family practices, race/ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, as well as the many other attributes that make you, YOU. I believe there is significant growth and beauty that comes through pain and challenges. I believe healing has much to do with grace and forgiveness, as well as truth and accountability. I will provide guidance, or sometimes a silent support to help you meet your goals and gain insight and resolution to what troubles you. The space provided to you will be void of judgment. It will be encouraging and safe. I will support you with warmth, challenge you as necessary, honor your time and give you much respect.

What you can expect from me

Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety or depression, or have memories of your past that are impacting your present and future goals. You may be tired of feeling frustrated, sad, down, or angry. I will listen to your words, your experience, your perception and help you guide yourself to clarity, peace, forgiveness, and joy. I support life transitions, justice seekers, healing professionals seeking a safe space, teens with anxiety, and familial loss.
