Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I believe our mental and physical health go hand in hand. Life gives us challenges that can be difficult to adjust to and can lead us to develop habits we don't want. Learning how the mind-body connection responds to life can be the biggest shift to freedom and empowerment to become your authentic self... our biggest challenges can also become our greatest accomplishments.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe therapy should offer an integration of approaches that can be built into a very individualized treatment. Approaches I believe are necessary are:

  • Holistic
  • Humanistic
  • Experiential
  • Person-centered, and
  • Trauma-informed

Many domains and factors influence our overall health, including needs, self-value, experience, validation of experiences, and safe connection that allows for reflection and growth.

I work with trauma, loss, chronic pain, conduct and mood disorders, and relationships.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients typically tell me they have learned much about themselves and feel understood, without judgment. Rapport and psychoeducation are the foundation of change, where my clients learn to recognize their needs versus carrying beliefs that lead to suffering and relational conflicts. We move at a pace set by the client, to rewire automatic pathways and reset the nervous system. I meet the pace needed and set by my clients.
