Great to meet you!

I am a clinical forensic psychologist with over 35 years of experience working the matters that relate to psychology and the law. This includes assessments, reports, and testimony in court as well as family therapy for family reunification and other matters. I have a doctorate in counseling and educational psychology and a year of post-doctoral training in family therapy. I have written a book about healing from childhood trauma. I have been licensed in 5 states, most recently in Colorado.

My approach to therapy

Structural Family Therapy (SFT) is my approach. It sees the family as "a transactional system, where difficulties in any member have an influence on every other member and on the whole family as a unit. In turn, family processes have an impact on every individual member, as well as on the different relationships embedded within the family context.” STF uses strict “rules of engagement” to promote safe boundaries and specific behavioral changes to promote safety, respect, and compassion.

What you can expect from me

You can expect me to have the knowledge, training, and experience to effectively address your problems or to refer you to someone who can. I am very interested in solving problems efficiently by empowering you to use your own inner resources in new ways. I enjoy people of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, etc. including children and older folks.
