Great to meet you!

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I obtained both my Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degrees at the University of Miami (Go Canes!).

I work with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns. I know it can be difficult to ask for help, so I strive to create an environment where people feel comfortable being honest about what they're going through. My goal is for every client to feel heard, understood, and comfortable asking questions so we can work together to find the treatment plan that best fits their needs.

My approach to therapy

I don't believe there's a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. Every person responds differently to treatment, so I take the time to understand what's been going on, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to get out of treatment.

If medication is part of the plan, I'll explain why I'm recommending it, what to expect, and answer any questions you have before we make decisions together. My goal is to help you feel better while making sure you understand every step of the process.

What you can expect from me

The first appointment is mostly a conversation. We'll talk about what brought you in, how you've been feeling, any previous treatment you've had, and how your symptoms are affecting your day-to-day life. I'll also ask about your medical history, family history, and anything else that helps me get a better understanding of the full picture.

By the end of the visit, we'll go over my recommendations and decide on a plan together. Whether that includes medication, therapy recommendations, or both, you'll leave knowing what the next steps are and with plenty of time to ask questions.
