Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Trish, a licensed professional counselor with over 6 years of professional experience and a lot of actual lived experience. I know it is hard to just make the decision to start therapy. My goal is to provide the safe space you need to open yourself up and be vulnerable. I work with ages 18 and above, with a focus on those who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, life transitions, and have a special interest in both grief work and women's issues. I received my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. I look forward to meeting with you as you start prioritizing you and your mental health.

My approach to therapy

I use an eclectic approach. Just as no two people are alike, their treatment should be different. I pull from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, dialectical therapy, and reality therapy. I use humor in my sessions because sometimes we just need to laugh!

What you can expect from me

During our first session, the focus will be on getting to know you and you getting to know me. I ask a lot of questions because the more information I have about you, the easier it can be to develop goals and a treatment plan. I also understand that this is the first time you are meeting me so if there is information you are not ready to share, that is okay! My goal during that first session is to begin creating our therapeutic relationship. We will work together to develop goals and develop our treatment plan to meet those goals.
