Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed mental health counselor with a master's in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. I've spent the last three years working in outpatient and inpatient addictions counseling, hospitals, needle exchanges, and alongside people living with severe and persistent mental illness. Right now my practice is mostly anxiety work.

I see adults, ages 18 to 45, one on one. Anxiety, trauma, codependency, burnout, and people pleasing are where I spend most of my time. I also work with people who love someone in active addiction. I don't treat addiction directly anymore, but that work stayed with me.

I got into this field because I love people, and because I've had my own run ins with anxiety and trauma. Nobody gets through life untouched, and I don't expect you to have either. That's part of why sessions with me tend to feel more like an actual conversation.

My approach to therapy

My approach is relational first. You'll likely feel that in how we work together, more than in any single technique. From there I draw on EMDR, somatic work grounded in neuroscience, psychodynamic thinking, and Jungian ideas, depending on what you need that day.

Some sessions we'll talk things through. Others we'll slow down and pay attention to what your body's been holding onto.

What you can expect from me

Your first session starts with paperwork and informed consent, just so you know what you're signing up for. Then we'll talk through your history and what's bringing you in right now.

But really, that first hour is about figuring out if this feels like the right fit for you. You should leave with a sense of how I work and whether it feels like somewhere safe to open up. From there we'll start building a treatment plan together, shaped around what you actually want out of this.
