Great to meet you!

I am licensed in Idaho, Ohio, Nevada, Maine and South Carolina with 6 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, anger management, motivation, self esteem, & confidence. I also have experience working with depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. Best Regards, from Cousin Pat

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is practical, supportive, and grounded in real-life change. I believe therapy should be a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood while also being challenged in ways that promote growth and accountability.

I take a collaborative approach, working alongside clients to identify patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and build skills that can be used outside of sessions. I focus on helping clients better understand their emotions, strengthen self-awareness, and create healthier ways of responding to stress, relationships, and life transitions.

I integrate evidence-based techniques with a compassionate, straightforward style. Sessions are tailored to each individual, recognizing that no two people or healing journeys are the same. Whether someone is working through anxiety, trauma, anger, relationship concerns, or personal growth goals, my aim is to provide practical tools, encouragement, and clarity.

Above all, I strive to create an environment that balances empathy with honest feedback supporting clients as they move toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for them. Best Regards, from Cousin Pat

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a relaxed and supportive conversation focused on getting to know them and what brought them to therapy. We’ll talk about current concerns, goals for therapy, and any relevant background at a pace that feels comfortable. There is no pressure to share everything at once and this session is about starting the process, not solving everything immediately.

I’ll explain how therapy works, answer any questions, and make sure clients understand what to expect moving forward. Together, we’ll begin identifying priorities and discussing what a helpful path forward might look like. If appropriate, I may offer initial coping strategies or practical tools that can be used between sessions.

Most importantly, the first session is about building trust and making sure the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit. Clients should leave with a clearer understanding of their goals, a sense of direction, and the reassurance that they’re not navigating things alone. Best Regards, from Cousin Pat
