Great to meet you!

In my 40 years as a counselor, I’ve learned that healing begins with letting go of those things that cause us pain. As Thoreau said, “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” So much of therapy is about shifting perspective—helping clients see patterns, possibilities, and strength within themselves that may have gone unnoticed.

My approach to therapy

My therapy approach is supportive, practical, and tailored to each person I work with. I use tools from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to help clients better understand themselves and take steps toward positive change. At the heart of my work is a strong belief in creating a safe, respectful space where you feel listened to. Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, addiction, or a life transition, we’ll work together to find new ways to cope, heal, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you’ll have a chance to discuss what’s bringing you in and what you’d like to work on. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll ask a few questions to get a clearer picture of your needs. Most people leave feeling heard and with a better sense of what to expect moving forward.
