Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I have 5 years of experience in psychiatric inpatient hospital settings, including 3 years as a hospital supervisor at the largest psychiatric inpatient hospital in Northern California treating patients facing complex mental health challenges.

In addition, I bring years of expertise from psychiatric emergency departments, crisis stabilization units, and medical emergency settings. After earning my certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I began providing psychiatric services and medication management to individuals with moderate to severe mental illness at a federally qualified health center in Northern California.

Beyond clinical practice, I am an Assistant Professor of Nursing at a local university, where I have the privilege of teaching and mentoring future nurses about mental health care.

Prior to transitioning to healthcare, I gained 13 years of experience in complex civil litigation, and worked as a paralegal at some of Northern California's top law firms. This diverse professional background has shaped my ability to approach challenges with diligence, empathy, and precision.

I am committed to helping individuals achieve stability and wellness by offering personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to mental health care is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. I believe in fostering a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard and empowered in their treatment journey. By taking a holistic approach, I consider not only psychiatric symptoms but also the social, emotional, and physical factors that impact mental well-being. I prioritize open communication and shared decision-making, ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored to the individual's unique needs, values, and goals. Whether through medication management, psychoeducation, or lifestyle interventions, my goal is to help patients achieve lasting stability, improved functioning, and a greater sense of well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to navigate their mental health journey. My goal is to provide a safe and compassionate space where individuals can openly discuss their concerns while working collaboratively toward meaningful progress. Sessions will focus on developing a deeper understanding of their mental health, exploring treatment options, and creating personalized strategies to enhance stability and well-being. Whether through medication management, psychoeducation, or coping techniques, clients will gain insights and skills to help them manage symptoms, improve daily functioning, and work toward their personal and professional goals. Ultimately, I strive to empower clients with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their mental health and build a more balanced, fulfilling life.
