Great to meet you!

I work with adults navigating complexity—whether that's anxiety and depression that resist simple solutions, neurodivergence (ADHD/autism), religious transformations and trauma, major life adjustments, questions about meaning and purpose, or the sense that you're living someone else's life rather than your own.

My approach integrates Jungian depth psychology with contemporary therapeutic methods. This means we explore not just symptoms but archetypal patterns—the recurring themes in your relationships, the dreams and images that surface, the parts of yourself you've learned to hide or deny. I work particularly well with thoughtfully curious and creative individuals who want to understand themselves more deeply, not just manage symptoms.

I have specialized training in neurodivergent-affirming therapy and understand how ADHD and autism affect not just behavior but identity, relationships, and life trajectory. I also bring a unique background as a former professor of the history of religions, which serves clients navigating religious trauma or the search for meaning beyond conventional frameworks.

Often, thoughtful, creative, or sensitive individuals find that standard approaches, while helpful, don't fully address the complexity of their experience. They're seeking genuine self-understanding—exploring the patterns, contradictions, and parts of themselves that don't fit neat categories. If this resonates, and you value both psychological rigor and emotional authenticity, we could be a good fit to work together.

My approach to therapy

I work collaboratively but I'm not passive—I'll offer observations, ask uncomfortable questions when necessary, and help you see patterns you might not see yourself. You can expect me to be direct, thoughtful, and occasionally challenging when growth requires it. My approach integrates:

  • Jungian Depth-oriented Psychology: Exploring the unconscious patterns shaping your experience—dreams, archetypal patterns, shadow material, and the parts of yourself seeking integration
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Practical tools for working with difficult emotions and anxious thoughts without getting overwhelmed by them, while clarifying your core values and taking meaningful action aligned with what matters most to you
  • Mindfulness and Somatic Awareness: Body-based emotional regulation skills, and brainspotting for trauma processing when needed
  • Neurodivergent-Affirming Approaches: Specialized understanding of ADHD and autism that honors neurological differences rather than pathologizing them
  • Philosophical and Spiritual Integration: Drawing from diverse wisdom traditions to support authentic meaning-making, particularly for those deconstructing religious backgrounds or seeking frameworks beyond conventional psychology

This work leads toward self-understanding and authentic self-expression. It works best with clients who are curious about themselves, willing to examine difficult truths, and interested in genuine transformation.

What you can expect from me

Our first session focuses on understanding your story—not just current symptoms but the patterns and themes that have brought you here. I'll ask about your history, your relationships, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping therapy might offer.

I'm particularly interested in what makes you uniquely you: your strengths, your interests, your peculiarities, the ways you make sense of the world. If you're neurodivergent, we'll explore how that shapes your experience. If you're dealing with religious trauma or spiritual questions, we'll address those without judgment. If you're feeling lost or stuck, we'll work to understand the deeper patterns beneath that experience and what keeps it in place.

You can expect our work together to be collaborative and exploratory, with me actively engaged in helping you recognize patterns and possibilities you might not see on your own.

This approach works best for people who want depth over quick fixes, who can tolerate ambiguity and complexity, and who are genuinely curious about themselves. If you're seeking someone to validate what you already think, we're probably not a good fit. If you want someone to help you think more clearly, feel more deeply, and live more authentically, let's talk.
