Great to meet you!

I have years of clinical experience in both the inpatient and outpatient world of mental health treatment. I come from a family of immigrants and I am a first-generation American. I have a deep understanding of how our family values and intergenerational trauma continue to impact our lives in the present. I believe in the importance of viewing a person within the context of their relationships and their environment.

My approach to therapy

Our sessions will be primarily unstructured, and I will give you the space to bring up whatever is relevant at the time. I strive to provide a safe space where nothing is off-limits. I believe in a collaborative approach; one-size-does-not-fit-all and we will work together to find what’s best suited for you. I utilize multiple modalities in my practice, including a psychodynamic approach as well as more problem-solving-oriented modalities such as CBT.

What you can expect from me

The start of therapy is a process of getting to know one another. In our first sessions together, I will conduct a thorough intake to start to understand you in the context of your environment, relationships, and history. We will set goals and work towards them together, regularly checking in. The goal after each session is for you to walk away with more insight into what is going on in your life and feeling better able to tackle it.
