Great to meet you!

With 19 years of clinical experience and 17 years as a school psychologist, I bring a deeply rooted, holistic perspective to my practice. My background as an educator teaching Spanish across all grade levels has given me a unique ability to connect with adolescents and families from diverse walks of life. I specialize in supporting refugees, asylees, and the LGBTQ+ community, including those navigating polyamorous relationships. Whether you are dealing with ADHD, complex trauma, PTSD, or mood disorders like Bipolar and Anxiety, or simply trying to find a healthier work-life balance, my goal is to provide a safe, inclusive space for your healing journey.

My approach to therapy

I am a firm believer in Positive Psychology and the power of building on individual strengths. My approach is deeply collaborative, as I view therapy as a shared journey toward healing. I draw from diverse modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, and Reality Therapy, to best meet your needs. My guiding philosophy is perfectly captured by the lyrics of Prince: 'Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life.' I am here to help you navigate that journey with resilience and purpose.

What you can expect from me

Our first meeting is all about getting to know you and creating a roadmap for your healing. After we cover the standard 'housekeeping' items, we will discuss your vision for therapy and the specific goals you’d like to reach. You can expect to leave the session with a practical next step or assignment to help you stay connected to your growth throughout the week.
