Great to meet you!

Dr. Kramer is an Army Veteran and provides therapy to military Veterans, Reservists, members of the CA National Guard, and their families. He completed his dissertation research project at Argosy University, which sought to understand the grief experiences of seven war widows who lost their husbands during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). He works with children, teens, adults, couples and families.

A bit about my approach to therapy

With couples I often use Emotionally Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Imago Relationship Therapy. I believe relationships are complex and one must use ALL tools available when trying to help. I help people find creative ways to reinvent themselves after divorce, loss of a spouse, and other major life transitions.

What you can expect from our first session

At some point we all struggle to adjustment to life's changes; it's normal to feel stuck and I believe people have what it takes to adjust. For the past 20 years, I have been working with children and teens who are struggling to balance the demands of school and their social life. I integrate parents in my work as much as possible. I also work with adults and Couples often come to me for help in distress and are confused about how or why their relationship has derailed.
