Great to meet you!

With over forty-five years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of people - from young adults navigating early adulthood to older individuals managing major life transitions. I work with clients across a broad spectrum of concerns, including relationship issues, affective disorders, addiction, work-life balance, vocational challenges, and the many complex problems that simply come with being human. My background includes extensive continuing education across all of these areas, and I bring both deep knowledge and genuine enthusiasm to every session. I am outgoing, active, and engaging - I show up fully, and I expect us to do real work together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in Solution-Focused, Strength-Based, and Cognitive Behavioral methods. Before we start mapping a path forward, I believe it's essential to thoroughly understand the full picture: What led you to seek help right now? What have you already tried? What worked, even a little — and what didn't? From there, we get curious about you specifically — your strengths (persistence, attention to detail, resilience) and your vulnerabilities (a quick temper, feeling easily hurt, self-doubt). Knowing both sides of that equation is what allows us to build a plan that actually fits. I've learned through my own life that when things feel chaotic, having a clear initial plan of attack, one that mobilizes your strengths and deliberately accounts for your vulnerabilities, makes all the difference.

What you can expect from me

Expect an active, engaged conversation - not a passive intake. I'll want to understand not just what's happening now, but the history behind it, what you've already tried, and how you see yourself: where you're strong, where you struggle. I'll be direct and curious, and I'll bring energy to the room. By the end of our first session, you'll have a clearer sense of the landscape we're working with and the beginning of a concrete direction forward. My goal is that you leave feeling like this was time well spent — and that there's a real plan taking shape.
