Great to meet you!

I graduated in 2016 with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with 2 areas of specialization, Professional Clinical Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been working as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor since 2015. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including Private Practice, group homes for wards of the State of California, going into people’s homes to do therapy, and in trauma focused rehab and recovery programs.

My approach to therapy

My foundation is in client centered/ Humanistic therapy which helps create a safe, comfortable, accepting, non judgmental space. I also integrate various evidence based modalities into treatment, including CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, Psychodynamic, Strength Based, Gestalt, Existential, Hypnotherapy, EMDR, MI, and more.

What you can expect from me

A significant amount of my experience has been with clients with trauma (big T or little t) and/ or PTSD. I also have experience treating Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, ADHD, other mood disorders, Codependency, relationship problems, alcohol and substance abuse, other addictive behavior, dual diagnoses, life transitions, identity crises, and more. The first sessions are used for the purpose of getting to know each other and for gathering information that will be used to help me understand what you are going through, so I can conceptualize your case and come up with an effective treatment plan. Typically, the best results in therapy come from consistent weekly sessions. I also want you to know that I am here for you and that things Can get better.
