Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I'm Paula. I am a dual certified Psych/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I love this combination as I feel it gives a broader base in which to see an individual from multiple perspectives. A particular area of interest for me is caring for those who care for others. Medical workers, teachers, first responders, military, parents and volunteers/caregivers all have special needs for support, though frequently find it difficult to reach out themselves.

My approach to therapy

My primary approach to providing care centers on first seeing a client as an individual. Hearing concerns and how that affects both quality of life and daily functioning has to be the base on which everything starts. Mutual goal setting with an emphasis on safe practices and safe prescribing is paramount to my idea of providing care. Holistic lifestyle interventions in addition to the most up to date treatments is always a primary focus.

What you can expect from me

It is my hope that clients end conversations with a sense of hope and purpose. I want people to both feel heard and to have a good understanding of the plan going forward. To appreciate the science/evidenced-based guidelines but feel that care was personalized for them individually is a task I take seriously. Please schedule a consultation if you want to see if we are a good fit.
