Great to meet you!
I am Dr. Paulette Osamor, a board-eligible general psychiatrist with a deep commitment to providing compassionate, equitable mental health care to individuals from all walks of life. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and earned my bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Houston, followed by my Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston.
Before medical school, I worked as an educator in disadvantaged communities, which helped shape my passion for teaching, mentorship, and advocacy. During my medical training, I was actively involved in community service and leadership, including providing care to underinsured patients and mentoring students from underrepresented backgrounds. I completed three years of general psychiatry residency training at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, followed by advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
My professional interests include community psychiatry, transitional-aged youth, women’s mental health, and working with underserved, refugee, and globally impacted populations.
