Great to meet you!

I feel honored to work with clients in their journey to feel better, find their voice and feel more empowered. Everyone has difficult times in life and needs support and encouragement. It's hard to take that first step sometimes but reaching out can lead to more purpose and joy in your life. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental atmosphere in which clients can be supported in efforts to grow and change as they become reconnected to their strengths.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a variety of interventions with a focus on trauma healing and positive psychology. I have experience, training in trauma work and use interventions such as evidence based cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based approach, mindfulness, psychoeducation and Emotional Freedom Technique. I'm also trained in brainspotting which locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain.

What you can expect from our first session

I work to create sessions that are active and engaging with workbooks, guided imagery, mindfulness, psychoeducation, therapeutic card decks, art activities, writing prompts and use of home assignments to reinforce skills outside of therapy. Therapy requires active participation on the part of clients so at home practice is crucial for improvement. Talk therapy by itself is not always enough for progress- practicing evidence-based skills that rewire the brain are important.
