Great to meet you!
I am a therapist with a doctorate in clinical psychology, and throughout my many years of helping clients, I have had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including eating disorders, substance use, trauma, depression and anxiety. One of my core beliefs is that we're all doing the best we can with the tools we have - but sometimes the strategies we develop to survive tough experiences start to get in our way. In therapy, I aim to understand not just the behaviors or symptoms, but the deeper story behind them - the "core issues" that shaped how you learned to cope. My goal isn't to take away what has been helping you to survive, but to work with you to resolve the underlying pain or issue, so that the old solutions are no longer necessary. Healing, for me, means honoring your resilience while making room for new ways of healing and feeling.
