Great to meet you!

I have a background as a Headstart Teacher, Guidance Counselor, MFT Approved Supervisor, CASSP Trainer, and Outpatient Therapist. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples regarding adjustment issues, relationships, mood disorders, and coparenting.

My approach to therapy

My treatment approach to therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is problem solving oriented and looks at what can we control and where we need to reframe, redirect, compromise, or get creative. I believe communication skills are important in all relationships. I also am supportive of animal therapy and will recommend an Emotional Support Pet when warranted.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I realize we have to build a relationship, so I get initial paperwork signed and go over Confidentiality. I let the client share what has been happening to warrant counseling, or if it's court related, what the Order says.
