Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas with nearly 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology (1995–1997) at Mississippi College, graduating with Special Distinction. My experience includes work within psychiatric hospitals, the prison system, and specialized Christian‐based care through my internship at Charter Hospital in North Jackson, Mississippi where I served within the Rapha division. After relocating to Texas in 2001, I transitioned into managed care, where I spent almost 25 years conducting clinical reviews with psychiatric and substance abuse facilities nationwide, supporting treatment teams, and maintaining direct patient contact.

My approach to therapy

I've worked as an outpatient therapist in Vicksburg, Mississippi, providing individual, group, and martial therapy across a wide range of clinical areas including but not limited to; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, substance use, adjustment disorders, marital counseling, and crisis intervention. I currently serve as a group therapist for substance abuse treatment in the Plano area, where I facilitate recovery‐focused groups and incorporate person‐centered interventions, motivational interviewing, Christ‐centered counseling, and other reality‐based approaches.

What you can expect from me

I practice from a person‐centered philosophy, believing deeply in meeting individuals exactly where they are emotionally and honoring their unique journey. My approach emphasizes respect, authenticity, and the inherent worth of every person, guided by my faith in Christ and in allowing others to be who they are while discovering their purpose. Today I bring decades of clinical experience, a strong foundation in faith, and a heart for service as I walk alongside clients in their healing and growth.
