Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Perla — a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and proud Latina therapist with over seven years of experience supporting individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and life transitions.

In my work, I’ve seen how easy it is to feel stuck — replaying the past or worrying about the future. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to move forward. Together, we work on creating space to slow down, understand patterns, and reconnect with the present moment.

As a Latina therapist, I deeply value the role culture, family dynamics, generational expectations, and identity play in our emotional well-being. I provide a culturally responsive and affirming space where you don’t have to explain your background to feel understood. Whether you're navigating family pressures, first-generation experiences, relationship challenges, or anxiety that feels constant, you deserve support that honors all parts of who you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in helping you build practical tools to manage anxiety, improve mood, and feel more empowered in your daily life. Healing doesn’t require having everything figured out — it starts with taking things one day at a time.

If you’re ready to feel more present, more confident, and more in control of your emotional health, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

What you can expect from me

As a Latina therapist, I understand how culture, family expectations, and lived experiences shape the way we view mental health. In our first session, my priority is creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and respected — without having to over-explain your background or experiences.

We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore the challenges you’ve been facing, and identify what you would like to work toward. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, family pressures, relationship concerns, or feeling stuck between who you are and who you’re expected to be, our first session is about building connection and clarity.

You can expect a supportive, conversational, and culturally sensitive approach focused on helping you feel heard from the very beginning.
