Perry Bohanon

I have spent my entire career, the last 39 years, in the specialty of psychiatry and adult mental health. Of all those years, I have been licensed and board certified as a psychiatric advanced practice registered nurse for a little more than 25 years. mental health has always been my calling and that is the only specialty area in which I have ever been employed. a lot of experience and expertise have come through all those years, and I am glad to offer that expertise and experience to clients who come to me for relief.

My practice has always focused on psychiatric medication management and supportive psychotherapy. Every client has a history and a story and I have felt privileged over the years by those who have felt comfortable enough to allow me an intimate glimpse into their stories. My areas of practice concentration include, but are not limited to, major depressive illnesses, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, LGBTQIA issues, impulse control disorders, and a variety of adjustment disorders.

My clients can expect to be heard, not just listened to. I encourage client's to be actively engaged in their own treatment. client's can expect me to work as hard as they are willing to work - no more and no less. I can be expected to provide sound clinical rationales for my recommendations for treatment, not changes based on predetermined whims and throwing things against the walls just to see what sticks.
