Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome. My name is Peter Bohlig, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with nearly 15 years of experience in mental health settings. I have worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatry, urgent mental health services, addiction treatment, and veterans' mental health. I specialize in helping adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and substance use concerns. I earned my Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) credential in 2024. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. I work with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that may include comprehensive mental health evaluation, medication management, education, supportive therapy, and lifestyle recommendations. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and other life stressors, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in their care. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to help clients build resilience, stability, and a greater sense of overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

During our first appointment, we will discuss what brought you to treatment, your current concerns, symptoms, personal history, and your goals for care. This initial session is designed to help me develop a comprehensive understanding of your situation so that we can create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. If medication is appropriate, we will review potential options, benefits, risks, and answer any questions you may have. My goal is to provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable, heard, and leave with a clearer understanding of your treatment options and next steps.
