Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Peter Klinkner. I am a licensed therapist and have 16 years of experience in working with people of all ages. I studied at Illinois State University. Life can be challenging at times and I have a passion for helping others navigate those challenges. I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger, stress, trauma, and relational issues.

My approach to therapy

I take a client centered approach that meets the needs of the client's goals. I provide solution focused therapy, integrated with a strengths based approach and cognitive behavioral therapy. When appropriate, I incorporate psychodynamic therapy that gets to the root of the issue.

What you can expect from me

I create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment. I bring a calming and patient presence that allows for clients to process their concerns. I encourage clients to create their own goals that are attainable and measurable. I provide suggestion for goals when needed.
