Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice, offering both in-person and telehealth sessions. My career as a Psychologist spans 30 years and includes teaching, research, supervision, and psychotherapy. I work with adolescents, adults, seniors, and couples in short and long term psychotherapy. My practice specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, family issues, relationship issues, and trauma. In treatment, I am empathic with an interactive and relational style.

My approach to therapy

My goal in therapy is to create a setting where you will feel supported to do the challenging work of self-exploration that leads to emotional and behavioral change. It is my belief that self-examination, the willingness to face emotional difficulties, is fundamental to effective coping and living a full, meaningful, and gratifying life. My theoretical orientation is relational-psychodynamic and experiential-phenomenological.

What you can expect from me

Successful psychotherapy depends on the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. In the first one or sessions, I will conduct an informal evaluation. During this time, we will have a chance to get to know one another, and you have an opportunity to assess whether or not I am the person with whom you would like to work. After these initial sessions, I will provide you with feedback and together we will develop a therapeutic focus.
