Great to meet you!

Welcome to Clinic at Cedar Springs (www.cedarspringsclinic.com) - Hello! As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I help clients find balance and feel better using an approach that is always compassionate and non-judgmental. My practice is dedicated to providing psychiatric care, including medication management. I have a special interest for the LGBTQIA+ community and for Addiction and substance use disorders, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). My goal is to work with you to manage symptoms, support your recovery, and help you live an authentic, healthy life. I look forward to connecting with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is built upon two core pillars: patient-centered care and evidence-based practice. Since beginning my practice in 2013, I have focused on delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and clinically sound mental health services.

  • Communication & Trust: I utilize a direct, empathetic, and conversational communication style. My commitment is to foster a relationship built on trust by ensuring all information—from diagnoses to treatment plans—is conveyed in a clear, jargon-free manner that promotes full patient understanding and informed partnership.
  • Empathy and Vulnerability: I am profoundly aware of the stigma and vulnerability patients often feel when seeking psychiatric care. My professional responsibility is to meet every individual with genuine empathy, validating their experiences and fears to create a non-judgmental and safe therapeutic space.
  • Collaboration: I firmly believe that effective psychiatric care is a team effort. I actively value and seek to collaborate with all members of the patient's care network—including therapists, primary care providers, and specialists—to ensure holistic and seamlessly coordinated treatment.

What you can expect from me

The first session is built on providing a safe, empathetic space where your vulnerability is honored and the focus is entirely on your goals. We'll have a direct, conversational talk where I'll gather a comprehensive history of your symptoms, medical details, and past treatments. I will always use jargon-free language and encourage you to ask questions so we have a clear, mutual understanding. I'll then share my initial clinical impressions in a transparent way and discuss potential next steps, like medication, counseling, or lifestyle changes. Together, we will collaborate to choose the best treatment plan for you.
