Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with five years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I earned my graduate degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Regis College and am board certified and licensed to practice in New Jersey. I am licensed to prescribe psychiatric medications, including controlled substances, within my scope of practice.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, and related emotional and behavioral concerns.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, individualized, and holistic incorporating medication management when appropriate along with therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.

I believe effective mental health care begins with creating a comfortable, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard and understood. My goal is to help each person better understand their symptoms, develop insight into recognizing their strengths, developing practical and achievable coping strategies, and making meaningful progress toward the life they want to lead.

What you can expect from me

Your first psychiatric evaluation with me is a comprehensive 60-minute appointment designed to help us get a full understanding of you as a whole person. During this visit, we will spend time discussing how you are currently feeling, including your emotional state, symptoms, and any immediate concerns you may be experiencing. We will also review your personal history, psychiatric history, medication history, medical history, and any other medications or supplements you may be taking. This thorough assessment helps ensure that all aspects of your health are considered in your care.

Just as importantly, the first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship. We will work together to establish a baseline of where you are right now and explore where you would like to be in your mental health journey. This includes identifying your goals, what “feeling better” or “success” looks like for you, and how we can work together to move toward that vision.
